Filming

As Cressington is such a beautiful location, it’s unsurprising that it can be a popular potential location for film and TV work. However on occasion this has caused significant disruption to what is a quiet residential area, especially where large numbers of site vehicles are required.

Any filming that requires site vehicles to be parked within the park (and not entirely within the boundaries of a proprietor’s property) is at the discretion of the trustees and must be agreed with the trustees in advance.

Please note on this basis:

  1. No film/production companies shall be allowed within the Park without written notice to the Trustees by both the film/production company and the owner of the property concerned;
  2. If permission is given, film/production companies will only be able to park two of their vehicles, at any one time, within the private roads of the Park. This is in line with current Park rules, whereby each property is entitled to two visitors’ parking permits;
  3. Any other vehicles must remain within the boundary of the property where filming is taking place;
  4. If more vehicles are required than off-road parking is available, then they will need to park outside of the estate, being mindful that only two vehicles are permitted on the road at any one time;
  5. The owner of the property where filming takes place be must be on site to monitor parking restrictions are adhered to and enforced;
  6. Any film/production companies are expected to make a donation towards the Park, the nature of which would be dependent on the level of expected disruption caused.
